A striking Victorian Mourning 15 carat yellow gold black enamel and pearl oval brooch. The front with a raised gold star motif with a bead set seed pearl in a raised black enamel background. A lower corded gold work surround and step down to a border of bead set seed pearls in a square gold setting with a final black enamel border.  Nineteen seed pearls in total. The back plain with a glass locket fitting and hinged pin. In lovely condition. Weight: 17.3gms. Dimensions: 39.74 x 31.62 x 18.23mm. The piece has a very modern architectural feel and would be easy to wear.
