A striking antique Victorian sterling silver locket and chain. One of the most substantial and impressive I have come across. The locket measuring 44.54 x 35.61 x 8.43mm (excluding the bale). The front with all over foliate engraving and a central raised plain geometric motif.  The bale with matching foliate engraving. The back of the locket plain. The inside with a locket compartment for a photo. The chain consisting of fancy pierced silver links with a double jack link between each pierced link with a plain silver ball finial. Length chain: 46cm. Weight locket and chain: 81.6gms. In very good condition. Circa 1880. The pieces are wonderful worn together or  separately.
